About us

NHIT is a national platform connecting data, workforce, and community to deliver measurable health and economic outcomes.

Who We Are

Established on June 8, 2008,  the National Health IT Collaborative for the Underserved (NHIT) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization at the intersection of healthcare and innovation.

NHIT was established to lead pioneering pilot projects and policy-making initiatives, with vital support and funding from the Office of Minority Health (OMH), the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Over time, NHIT has emerged as a leading force in addressing critical issues.
